I love my job, but after a decade in the classroom—I’m a 34-year-old middle school English teacher from Chicago—I’m ready to take my teaching to the next level. My goal is to earn my National Board Certification while maintaining healthy boundaries between work and personal life.

Beyond teaching, I’m also a mother of two daughters, and of course, I want to be present for them. Good planning is essential. Thankfully, my husband supports me every step of the way, which will make everything easier.
